Quoted within the score are snippets of text from three very different composers yet both effectively use words within their scores to color and elicit response from a performer. Quotation of

music is a familiar tradition in almost all genres yet rarely do we choose to highlight the specic words of a composer from a text score. This is important, for when we quote the work of another

composer we are consciously choosing to highlighting thoughts of an artist, specically one that may have been overlooked in contemporary music due to unfortunate roles of systemic

oppression of diverse voices within the community.
